Nymphosal S is a combination preparation made of

Artemisia abrotanum: Old-man wormwood (Family Asteraceae (Compositae)), native to Europe, above all to the eastern Mediterranean area. The fresh, young leaves and shoots are used.

Apis mellifica: Honey bee (Family Hymenopterae)

Aurum: metallic gold powder

Artemisia abrotanum:    Constitution medicine
Emaciation despite appetite, particularly on the legs; symptoms migrate into the body (change appearance and location); great weakness, delayed convalescence; rosacea. Sensation of heat in the hands; strong sweating on the entire body at night.
Exacerbation in cold and wetness.

Aurum:     Constitution medicine
Depressions alternate with restlessness and haste; high blood pressure. Arthroses. Conspicuously strong development of ovaries and uterus.
Deterioration at night and due to cold. Improvement from movement outdoors.

Apis:     Polycystic ovary disease
Exsudative inflammations, generalised edema formation on the skin and mucous membranes. Pressure sensitivity. Insect-bite allergy. Primary amenorrhea.
Exacerbation on heat and contact. Improvement with coldness or cold compresses.

The nymphomania is a symptom complex that shows itself by cystic degeneration of the ovaries, sexual overexcitement and behavioural changes, and can have sterility as a consequence. Nymphomania is an indication of a hormonal dysfunction (as a rule of the luteinizing hormone from the pituitary gland); its starting point are the ovarian follicles. This results in the following:

• Irregular oestrus intervals
• Enhanced and prolonged oestrus
• Absence of oestrus

The combination of Abrotanum, Apis and Aurum united in Nymphosal S act synergically on the previously mentioned complex.

The special benefit of Nymphosal S is primarily in the large animal practice in the treatment of high-yielding dairy cows, which are frequently affected, in the state of maximum lactation. The restoration of the efficiency of the patient is possible without arrears and waiting periods as well as without a drop in milk yield with little effort.

Nymphosal S can also be recommended for horses and small animals. Thus, the cat's persistent heat is favourably influenced. The prolonged heat of the bitch, which can lead to pyometra, is an further field of application for Nymphosal S.
