Useful AdviceFertilisal S is a combination preparation made of Aristolochia clematitis: The birthwort (Family Aristolochiaceae) is endemic to southern Europe (and also in southern Germany). The fresh herb picked at the beginning of flowering is used. Even in ancient times, the Aristolochia was used as an officinal during birth and in puerperium. Cimicifuga racemosa (Actea racemosa): Bugbane (Family Ranunculaceae) is native to the USA and Canada; in Europe it is only cultivated as a garden plant. The fresh rhizome is used. Pulsatilla pratensis: Pasque flower, paschal
flower (Family Ranunculaceae) can be found throughout Europe. The entire,
fresh, flowering plant is used. Direction of Action
The organ efficacy of all three ingredients of Fertilisal S is aimed at the ovaries, the fallopian tubes and the uterus. Cardinal symptom: improvement with movement and heat Fertilisal S is frequently used in dog breeding to improve the litter
size.
In principle Fertilisal S is effective for all animal species. Due to the Aristolochia component its use in animals used for food is not permitted (despite the high potency C 30). In dog and cat breeding Fertilisal S is used to improve the litter size as well as to trigger and enhance heat. A Fertilisal S injection is administered to the bitch 1 to 2 months before the expected heat. At the beginning of heat Fertilisal S can be injected again, but a single injection at the beginning of heat is also effective (above all in those cases in which a treatment before heat was not performed. The same applies to treatment with drops. They can still be administered up to the service appointment. In cats two injections in an interval of 1 to 8 days is adequate as a rule.
